that I'm having a wedding this year.
Now don't get me wrong, every day I do think about married life and what that would be like. Mr. Zombie and I always tell each other each night about how excited we are to finally tie the knot. We've been focusing more about our life together than the actual fluff of the ceremony itself.
I know this is a good thing. At the end of the day, all that matters is the commitment we've made to share a lifetime together. However, we still have the menu to choose and a whole darn ceremony to plan. Argh, why didn't we just elope?!
Since November, Mr. Zombie and I haven't done a single thing that's wedding-related. No mention of a schedule being made, none of trying to actually figure out costs now that it's a new year and all the 2009 price lists are now released. Procrastination, procrastination, procrastination.
How can you guys focus on planning this party when you're more involved in planning your life together?

I remember taking off at least a month from wedding planning this fall, and didn't really feel like starting up again! This was after all the major vendors were booked though so all I can say is.. get to it! Nail down the big stuff and the rest is just icing on the cake, so to speak.
When you have so many major things done, and with so much time to go, sometimes it's natural to step back and not worry about things and worry about the rest of your life. Menu and ceremony is easy. Worrying about jobs, money and housing are so much more intense and with more ramifications!
